Work process

Who Do You Belong To  “A chi appartieni” is a collective work created as the final result of the public art workshop coordinated by the artist duo Bianco-Valente and held at KORA-Centro del Contemporaneo in June 2021..

The artwork, created specifically for the Corigliano d’Otranto-Melpignano-Castrignano de’ Greci Comprehensive Institute, draws inspiration from the most significant element of the area, the Parco delle Pozzelle, highlighting the symbolic importance of water for this territory.

To evoke the centuries-old history of the wells and the families that have used them for generations, a series of concentric circles have been designed to spread and intertwine across the architecture. The expansion of each circle, representing the transfer of knowledge between generations, reflects the social role of the school and establishes a connection between the history and the future of the community.
